Jessica Lao, PhD  |  Senior Scientist

Jessica Lao leads the yeast pipeline at Perlara. She studied the repair of DNA damage with Dr. Neil Hunter at UC Davis where she earned her PhD in Genetics, and continued to study the cellular effects of DNA damage as a postdoc with Dr. David Toczyski at UCSF. In addition to research, she is also passionate about science education and access.
