Zach Parton  |  Research Associate II

Zach graduated from one of the last Great Book schools on the planet (the late Shimer College), studying in Oxford for a year and completing an undergraduate thesis on the relationship of language and the brain. Ignited by a passion for whole organism characterization, he facilitated studies on progressive language pathologies in the NIH funded human brain bank at the Northwestern University Cognitive Neurology & Alzheimer’s Disease Center. His work included methods to stain and clear large portions of tissue for three dimensional reconstruction and quantitation. At Perlara, he hopes to cure genetic disorders using mass screening techniques. He is excited to be in California, where he can get out into nature year-round.
