We kicked off April with Tamy’s first post on the PLab blog. She and Tom have been working hard to launch our Drosophila NGLY1 HTS campaign. Tamy describes an unexpected challenge we encountered during assay development.

The second installment of the PERL101 story received shoutouts from nematode enthusiasts:

The first NGLY1 patient was diagnosed in East Asia. Ultra-rare diseases know no borders.

Two more workiversaries coming up soon (Sangeetha’s and Tamy’s)!

We’ve migrated up 3rd Street from the Dogpatch Saloon to a new haunt. The pool table is just too tempting. And it’s much less noisy and crowded. We’ll revisit the Saloon more this summer.

Since March we’ve raised $1.7M from new investors. It would not have been possible without YC.

See you in June!
